Description

Mango pickles are the most preferred pickles in Indian cuisine. With its many different varieties, it is a savoury accompaniment to all kinds of dishes on the tables. Vadu mangoes are popular baby mangoes from South Indian. The choice of baby mangoes for exquisite taste is especially important for this pickle variety. Smooth, round-shaped, green coloured and firm fresh baby mangoes are carefully selected for delicious pickles. Vadu mangoes are flavoured with castor oil, blended with spices such as dried red pepper, mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds and turmeric.

Castor oil has an important role in this recipe. Due to its high viscosity, it ensures that the salt adheres well to the mangoes. In this way, it absorbs the moisture and water from the mango and forms the mangoes brine. In addition, the milk secreted by baby mangoes when they are separated from their stems is acidic and can cause body temperature to rise. To achieve this balance, castor oil is used as a natural body coolant and anti-acid ingredient.

Get ready to remember the tastes of your childhood days with their delicious taste and enjoy vadu mango pickles with every meal!

Some tips to be considered for long-term consumption

Vadu mango pickles can be stored for up to 12 months in a cool and dry place or refrigerator. Plastic jars will shorten the consumption life of your pickles. Storing in glass or ceramic jars makes the pickles last longer and taste better. It is also recommended to be served with non-damp, dry spoons. Otherwise, deterioration may occur in the pickle. Opening the pickle jar too often shortens the shell life of the product. Therefore, it can be used by transferring a small amount to another bottle for regular use.
